My entire campaign is to have a parent on the board! Someone with skin I’m the game! We have some amazing people on the board, that bring some great things to the table. But nobody has kids on school right now! When or if they make a bad call, a bad policy, what then? Nothing, their world still runs the same. As for me, I’m the parent, it effects me every single day! Because My kids are in school right now! Im at the schools, I know the teachers, I hear the kids talking at my dance classes that I teach, at the soccer practices that I coach. I talk to the parents, the teachers, the kids, because I’m there going through it right now with all of you parents! I can’t make bad calls, I need the school systems to work, for my children, my students, and athletes! If your looking for an advocate for you, then I’m your gal. I’m running to protect my childrens childhood! Every kid should have a right to a better childhood the we had, that’s what I’m fighting for! We need a public servant in the board who is present, is talking, listening, apart of the community! I was sad to find out Janis was who I was going against, she’s one do the few on the board who is standing up for the children, I just think I’ve got a little more kick in my step, and can work a little harder.
